KE Commercial Bill Calculator
Estimate regular A-2 commercial energy, fixed charges and the supported quarterly adjustment. Use your issued bill for the final payable amount.
Commercial Subtotal
Before taxes, FCA and excluded charges.
Taxes, electricity duty, FCA, surcharges, minimum-charge top-ups, arrears and late charges are not calculated. Zero units can still attract fixed charges.
Three Commercial Calculation Paths
Choose the tariff recorded on your account. The tool does not decide which connection category your premises qualifies for.
Below 5 kW
Multiply total units by PKR 37.44 and add PKR 1,000 per connection per month. This fixed amount is not multiplied by your sanctioned load.
5 kW and Above
For the non-TOU row, multiply total units by PKR 39.76. Add PKR 1,250 multiplied by the fixed-charge billing demand confirmed on your bill.
Time of Use
Add peak units at PKR 43.82 and off-peak units at PKR 35.15. Add the demand-based fixed charge once, using PKR 1,250 per kW per month.
Use the Correct Fixed-Charge Billing Demand
Sanctioned load is your approved connection capacity. MDI is a recorded demand measurement. The demand used to bill fixed charges is the value determined under the applicable tariff conditions. These fields are not interchangeable.
The reviewed schedule publishes a commercial rate per kW, but its accompanying 50%-of-sanctioned-load note explicitly addresses domestic TOU consumers. This calculator does not apply that domestic note to commercial accounts by assumption.
For either higher-load commercial path, enter the fixed-charge billing demand from your bill or confirm it with KE support. Until you supply it, the tool shows an explanation instead of a guessed total. The below-5 kW path uses the published per-connection amount and does not need this field.
A 300-Unit Commercial Example
A regular postpaid A-2 account below 5 kW, using 300 units in September 2026.
| Component | Calculation | PKR |
|---|---|---|
| Energy | 300 × 37.44 | 11,232.00 |
| Fixed Charge | Per Connection | 1,000.00 |
| Quarterly Adjustment | 300 × 0.5194 | 155.82 |
| Subtotal | Before Excluded Charges | 12,387.82 |
An illustration, not a fetched or issued bill. A 2 kW sanctioned load does not double the PKR 1,000 fixed charge in this category.
Quarterly Adjustment and Supported Months
The September–November 2026 scenarios add PKR 0.5194 per eligible kWh under SRO 1501(I)/2026. In TOU mode, both peak and off-peak units contribute to the adjustment. The notification excludes lifeline, prepaid and incremental-package units and includes account-specific implementation conditions.
Base Tariff Only removes this adjustment for comparison. It does not mean another month has no adjustment. The bill-download month selector is separate from the calculator’s supported rate periods. Selecting a future download month when it arrives does not update these tariff assumptions.
What the Estimate Does Not Calculate
GST, electricity duty, advance income tax, extra or further tax, FCA, financing or other surcharges, minimum-charge top-ups, fees, arrears and late-payment charges are excluded. Tax registration, exemptions and the billing period can affect which items apply. No universal tax percentage is added to the result.
Temporary commercial supply, EV charging, industrial tariffs, bulk supply, prepaid meters, solar import/export settlement and special packages are not modeled. Partial-month proration and adjustments after the source review are also outside this calculator. Read the commercial tax and charge checklist to reconcile your issued bill.
You may add a known rupee amount once through the additional-charges field. This does not verify that you included all charges or calculate tax on the addition. For payment, download the issued bill and follow the payment checklist.
Sources and Review Scope
Reviewed 22 September 2026. Commercial rates were visually checked against SRO 279(I)/2026, Annex C, PDF page 20. The adjustment was checked against SRO 1501(I)/2026, page 1. Both notifications are listed on KE’s official tariff page.
Compare the commercial rate table, read the commercial bill guide, or use the residential calculator for an A-1 account. Return to the homepage bill checker whenever you need the issued document.
