KE Residential Bill Guide

Start with the homepage bill checker. Enter the complete 13-digit account number, including any leading zero, and choose the billing month. KE supplies the document. The same request form serves residential and commercial accounts without changing their tariff category.

Match the name, address, account and billing period before saving or paying. A household with more than one meter should check each account separately. Follow the download and print instructions to save the complete document, then keep the payment receipt with it.

The residential calculator supports regular A-1 lifeline, protected, unprotected and time-of-use scenarios. Use the classification shown on your bill or confirmed by KE. A single low-consumption month does not establish eligibility for a lower category.

Lifeline and protected treatment have eligibility conditions beyond this month’s units. Unprotected estimates use the rate band associated with total consumption. A time-of-use bill separates peak and off-peak registers. Read the category guidance before comparing amounts.

If the tariff code is A-2, follow the commercial guide. The fact that you work from home or rent a property does not let this website determine or change the account’s approved category.

Check the previous and current reading dates as well as billed units. A longer billing period can increase the total even when daily use is similar. Where your bill shows a multiplying factor or separate registers, use those details rather than a simple subtraction alone.

Compare similar seasons and periods when reviewing household consumption. Cooling, heating and changes in occupancy can affect usage, but an unexplained increase still needs a component-by-component check. The meter-reading guide explains units and the records to keep if a reading looks wrong.

Energy charges depend on the supported category and consumption method. Fixed charges use a different basis. Under the reviewed residential schedule, non-TOU fixed charges use sanctioned load, while domestic TOU uses the higher of recorded MDI and half the sanctioned load.

Sanctioned load is approved connection capacity, not monthly units or one appliance’s rating. Copy it from your bill or confirm it with KE. The residential fixed-charge explanation and residential calculator show the calculation separately from energy charges.

Your bill can include quarterly adjustments, FCA, duties, taxes, surcharges, earlier balances or credits. These are separate from base energy and fixed charges. A saved PDF can also predate a recent payment.

The residential calculator includes only its stated components and supported periods. Its result is a subtotal, not a complete payable bill. Review the calculator exclusions and bill explanation guide before trying to reconcile a difference. Never assume an omitted item is zero.

Use the issued bill’s account and amount, then complete payment through a supported provider. Check the due date and retain the successful-payment receipt and transaction reference. A downloaded duplicate does not itself prove payment.

For rented homes or shared households, agree who is responsible for each account and retain the record of what was paid. This website cannot decide a landlord or tenant dispute. If a payment is pending, follow the payment-status checklist before paying again.

Identify whether the change comes from units, category, load, an adjustment or an earlier balance. Keep the current and previous bill and any relevant meter photograph or receipt. Use the troubleshooting guide to narrow the issue before contacting KE.
