Check or Download a Commercial Bill
Use the homepage bill checker or download form with the full 13-digit account number and billing month. The same form sends the request to KE for residential and commercial accounts. It does not ask you to choose a tariff and does not change your account category.
Availability depends on KE issuing and returning that document. If the service returns no PDF, use the alternative official form or contact KE rather than changing digits to try another account.
For a business with several premises, match the account number, site address, customer name and month before saving or paying. Keep each bill with its own receipt and limit access to authorized staff.
Confirm the Category on Your Bill
A-2 is the commercial general-supply category in the reviewed tariff schedule. Start with the tariff code shown on your bill rather than assuming that every business premises uses A-2. A workshop, industrial facility, temporary connection, bulk-supply account or EV charging station can require different treatment.
Within the supported A-2 paths, distinguish sanctioned load below 5 kW, the non-TOU row for 5 kW and above, and time-of-use billing. Do not switch categories simply because a different rate looks cheaper. KE must confirm the classification and any change to sanctioned load.
Residential lifeline and protected slabs are not commercial discounts. Use the commercial calculator for a supported A-2 account and the residential calculator only for supported A-1 scenarios.
Read the Commercial Rate and Fixed Charge Together
The commercial tariff table separates energy charges from the fixed-charge basis. Below 5 kW, the reviewed schedule lists a monthly amount per connection. Higher-load and TOU rows list an amount per kW per month.
This distinction matters even when consumption is low. A per-connection charge is not multiplied by sanctioned load. A per-kW charge needs the demand KE uses for billing. A closed shop with no recorded units can still have fixed charges and other amounts payable.
Use the calculator’s itemized subtotal to understand components, then reconcile it with the issued bill’s charge labels. A subtotal is not a quotation or a replacement for the amount due.
Sanctioned Load, MDI and Time of Use
Sanctioned load describes the approved capacity of your connection. MDI records maximum demand. Fixed-charge billing demand is the quantity used for the fixed-charge calculation under the applicable conditions. Confirm that quantity from your bill or KE before using the demand-based commercial estimate.
For TOU accounts, enter the separate peak and off-peak units. Do not estimate the split from opening hours alone. Equipment may operate outside customer-facing hours, and meter registers are the relevant record.
The commercial demand guidance explains why the tool asks for billed demand rather than copying a residential rule. The calculator leaves the demand field blank when you switch to a higher-load category so an unverified default cannot produce a plausible-looking total.
Taxes, Adjustments and Other Charges
Commercial payable bills can include electricity duty, GST, advance income tax, other tax items, FCA, quarterly adjustments, surcharges, arrears and late charges. The applicable rules, registration status, exemptions and billing period matter. A residential tax treatment should not be transferred to a commercial bill.
KE’s tariff information describes commercial duty and tax headings. Check the current source and your account records for their application. For a disputed registration or exemption, use official KE channels and obtain appropriate tax advice where needed. This guide does not establish tax liability or eligibility.
Our calculator includes the supported energy and fixed charges plus the optional published quarterly adjustment. It does not automatically calculate the remaining items. Add only a known amount, and avoid counting a fixed charge or adjustment twice.
Business Payments and Reconciliation
Use the payment guide to verify the biller, account, period and amount before payment. Keep the bank or provider’s receipt, transaction reference and date with the issued bill. A PDF alone is not proof of payment.
For multiple branches or rented premises, record which account belongs to each location and who authorized payment. Check landlord or tenant responsibilities against your own arrangements without assuming this website can decide a private dispute.
If a payment remains unresolved, compare the payment date with the bill issue date. A PDF issued earlier may still show the old balance. Use the provider’s transaction status and KE’s account records before making a second payment.
Resolve a Commercial Billing Problem
For an unexpected amount, isolate the change in units, tariff code, demand, fixed charge, adjustment, tax or arrears. Keep the previous bill, current bill, relevant meter records and payment receipt. Use the troubleshooting checklist before contacting KE.
Ask official KE support to confirm the specific item, account classification or billed demand. Keep the complaint reference. We cannot change a category, approve a load extension, remove a tax or correct an account.
Industrial, agricultural, bulk-supply, temporary, prepaid and solar-settlement calculations need separate models and are not presented as supported commercial estimates here. The homepage remains the shared route to the official bill request.
